Buyers' Agents vs. Sellers' Agents: What's the difference? Can they be the same person or do I need my own agent? There is much that goes on behind the scenes prior to a property coming on the market -- for both buyers and sellers. With the guidance of their agent, sellers determine the best course to prepare their home for sale. This includes reviewing the sellers’ needs, sprucing up the inside and the outside, pricing analysis, and preparing disclosures. Meanwhile, the buyer’s agent helps the buyers narrow their search, shows them many homes, educates them regarding market pricing and understanding disclosures, and develops a strategy for their clients’ offer.
Buyers’ agents and sellers’ agents represent the best interests of their respective clients. At the time of the offer, the agents begin negotiations on behalf of their clients & continue to do so during the escrow process. I am proud to represent my clients with the highest ethical standards. I put great value in your trust and my fiduciary duty by not representing both a buyer and a seller on the same transaction.
